Clinical application value of cardiac MSCT in children with "malignant" coronary artery malformation

Abstract：Objective With the aim to understand the incidence and distribution characteristics of pediatric"malignant" cor-onary artery malformation,we retrospectively analysed cardiac images of multi-slice spiral CT in 2784 children. They were all sus-piciously diagnosed as cardiovascular disease. We also explored the diagnostic value of cardiac multi slice spiral CT examination in children with "malignant" coronary artery malformation. Methods 2784 pediatrics who were suspiciously diagnosed as cardio-vascular disease underwent cardiac CT examination in our hospital between January 2006 and January 2016. The clinical and ima-ging data were analyzed retrospectively. Results 66 pediatrics were diagnosed as"malignant" coronary artery malformation with MSCT. The incidence of "malignant" coronary artery malformation was about 2.4%. 28 cases were diagnosed as coronary artery from the pulmonary artery. The average age was(15.4 ± 17.2) m,prone to left coronary artery and no gender differences;22 ca-ses were diagnosed as coronary artery fistula,the average age was (30.3 ± 41.1) m; left coronary artery-right ventricle fistula was common and no gender differences;12 patients were anomalous origin of coronary artery with an interarterial course,average age is (114 ± 42.6) m and prone to left coronary artery and male. 4 patients with coronary artery stenosis,medium age was 1.5 years and no gender differences. Conclusion MSCT can clearly show the origin,position and morphometry of coronary artery, and the relationship with heart chamber and great vessels. It is of high value in the detection and classification of malignant coro-nary artery anomalies.
