Abstract:Objective To evaluate the security and diagnostic accuracy of CT-guided percutaneous biopsy for small pulmonary nodules (≤1.5 cm). Methods 68 patients with small pulmonary nodules(1.5~0.8 cm) were performed CT-guided percuta-neous biopsy from Oct 2013 to Oct 2016. We retrospectively analyzed the biopsy results and clinical data follow-up more than one year. Results All punctures were completed in 68 patients and no serious complications were occurred. Success rate of biopsy was 98.5%(67 in 68). According to clinical follow-up results, biopsy positive rate of malignant nodules was 88.5% (31 in 35) and false negative rate of malignant nodules was 11.4%(4 in 35). Concordant rate related between biopsy and clinical results was 77.9% (53 in 68). Conclusion CT-guided percutaneous biopsy carries a safe and high accurate therapy for small pulmonary nodules (≤1.5 cm),providing an effective approach to diagnose early lung cancer.
