Abstract:Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) findings of central neurocytoma (CNC). Methods MRI findings of 11 patients with the histopathological diagnosis of CNC were evaluated retrospectively. 8 of them were performed plain and enhanced MRI scan, and 11 cases were performed DWI. Normalized diffusion coefficient(NADC) was assessed. Results On DWI,8 tumors had hyperintense appearances and 3 tumors had heterogeneous intense. Tumor NADC were(0.59 ± 0.03) ×10-3mm2/s. Conclusion NADC of CNC was lower significantly than them of other tumors in lateral ven-tricle. It is helpful to make a correct diagnosis combining with the DWI features.
