Abstract:Objective To evaluate the MSCT characteristics of the pulmonary lmphangiomyomatosis (PLAM), so as to im-prove diagnostic accuracy. Methods The clinical and CT findings of 3 cases of PLAM confirmed by biopsy were retrospectively analyzed, and relevant literatures were discussed. Results CT showed that the both lungs scattered distribution of lucency shad-ows,with round, oval shape, thin-wall containing gas. The distribution of lucency shadows in two-lung was much more in the middle and low fields than that in the upper field. The size of the lesions, ranged from 1.0 mm to 3.0 cm and thewall thickness was less than <2 mm,and visible vessels were running inside the wall. One case was combined with hepatic angiomyolipoma. Conclusion PLAM has specific CT characteristics, which is an important imaging method for diagnosis of this disorder.
