Abstract:Objective To discuss the clinical value of multi-slice spiral computed tomography (MSCT) combining techneti-um-99mmethoxyisobutylisonitrile (99m Tc-MIBI) lung carcinoma imaging in the diagnosis of solitary pulmonary nodule (SPN). Methods MSCT and 99mTc-MIBI lung carcinoma imagings were all taken in 96 patients who had the undetermined pulmonary nodule in chest X-ray. Then,we calculated the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of two examinations and combination of them separately after compared with pathologic results and compared and analysed the data of them with statistical methods. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of two examinations of MSCT and 99mTc-MIBI lung carcinoma imaging had no significant difference, whereas, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of combination of them were higher than one of them, which had sig-nificant statistical difference. Conclusion The combination of MSCT and 99mTc-MIBI lung carcinoma imaging can greatly improve the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the diagnosis of SPN,which has a significant clinical value in the diagnosis of benign and malignant SPN.
