Abstract:Objective To investigate the imaging features of aggressive fibromatosis(AF)and to improve the accuracy of CT and MRI in the diagnosis of aggressive fibromatosis. Methods The imaging findings of 23 cases with aggressive fibromatosis proved by surgery and pathology were analyzed retrospectively.2 cases underwent routine CT and MRI scans,of which 1 case was treated with enhanced scan at the same time, routine and enhanced CT examination was performed in all the patients in the other 9 cases.Routine and enhanced MRI examination were performed in all the patients in the other 9 cases, and routine MRI scan was performed in all the cases. The shape, size, density, signal and enhancement of the lesions were analyzed, and the imaging features of CT and MRI were summarized. Results A total of 25 lesions were found in 23 patients, among whom the 3 patients were the postoperative recurrence. The largest lesion was 13.2 cm×12.0 cm×11.4 cm,the smallest was 2.0 cm×1.8 cm×1.5 cm.CT scans showed that the lesions showed a slightly low density change. The arterial phase of the enhanced scan was homoge-neous or inhomogeneous, and some lesions showed progressive enhancement, and 1 case showed calcification.MRI scan showed a slightly lower T1WI or equal signal,T2WI slightly higher signal,DWI for high signal changes.MRI enhanced scan lesions were significantly enhanced. Conclusion Aggressive fibromatosis has some characteristics on CT and MRI, which is helpful to im-prove the accuracy of diagnosis.
