Abstract:Objective The purpose of this study was to investigate the complications and risk factors of CT -guided percutane-ous needle biopsy for pulmonary mass with coaxial trocar. Methods A retrospective analysis of 37 cases of CT-guided percutane-ous lung biopsy in our hospital from August 2013 to July 2016 was performed to analyze the data of the patients who underwent percutaneous lung biopsy, and to analyze the related risk factors. Results Success rate of biopsy of these 37 cases was 100%. As far as complications were concerned, incidence rate of pneumothorax, slight pleural effusion, hemorrhage, hemoptysis and puncture spot bleeding were 27%,8.1%,5.4%,13.5%,and 24.3%,respectively.Conclusion Pulmonary biopsy using co-axial trocar under CT was an accurate, simple and safe method for diagnosis of pulmonary diseases with low risk of significant com-plications.
