Brachial artery flow parameter in evaluation of severely subclavian artery stenosis or occlusion

Abstract：Objective To approach the application of brachial artery flow parameter in evaluation of severely subclavian artery stenosis or occlusion .Methods We retrospectively analyzed the brachial artery flow parameter of patients with severely subclavi -an artery stenosis or occlusion confirmed by CTA , the parametes including PSV 0, PSV1, PSV1/PSV0 were recorded and the value of all the parametes was assessed by ROC curve .Results ROC curves revealed that PSV 0 was firmly related with severely sub-clavian artery stenosis or occlusion, the area uder curve was 0.920(95% CI: 0.818~1.00).When the PSV0 was equal to 48cm/s, sensitivity was 83%, specificity was 89%.The accuracy will be much higher when two parameter combined , the area uder curve was 0.944(95%CI:0.862~1.00).Conclusion Brachial artery flow parameter is of great value in diagnosis of se-verely subclavian artery stenosis or occlusion .
