Abstract:Objective To retrospect Tracheal Diverticula ( TD) CT imaging demonstrations and contrast post-CT processing technique . Methods We retrospectively reviewed the CT features of air collections contiguous to the tracheal or main bronchial wall and communicating with the airway in 30 patients undergoing CT for other reasons, whose raw data were processed at post-CT workstation. Six patients were follow-up. Results There are totally 60 TD in 30 cases, consisting of 14 ones with solitary TD, 16 with multiple TD (mainly 2 or 3). TD located at the right posterior-lateral wall of the tracheal (33,T1-2 levels) and tracheal bifur-cation (19). Different sizes, morphology including circle, oval, irregular in different TD. Small TD (usually diameter 3 mm low-er) are 28, and 19 were adjacent to subcarina. All TD were displayed by MPR, minMIP, VR for 18, 21 ( the ratio 35%, 30%) . 3 holes in endotracheal surface were displayed by CTVE. Conclusion TD varies in size and morphology the most fre-quent location is the right posterior-lateral tracheal wall and tracheal bifurcation. Majority show a tiny gap towards to tracheal lu-men. TD satisfactorily display by MPR, while minMIP and VR are supplementary.
