Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of color Doppler ultrasound in monitoring the fetal umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery ( MCA) in patients with preeclampsia during pregnancy. Methods Fifty-two patients with mild preeclampsia who were treated in our hospital from May 2015 to May 2016 were selected as mild group and 52 patients with severe preeclampsia as the severe group, and 52 the normal pregnant women served as control group. Blood flow parameters of umbilical artery and mid-dle cerebral artery in three groups were monitored and analyzed by color Doppler ultrasonography. Results The S/D, RI and PI of umbilical artery in mild group and severe group were significantly higher than those in control group. The umbilical artery index in severe group was higher than that in mild group ( P <0. 05). The levels of S/D, RI and PI of the middle cerebral artery in the mild group and the control group were higher than those in the severe group and the mild group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P <0. 05). Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasonography can be used to monitor the blood flow parameters of umbili-cal artery and middle cerebral artery in patients with preeclampsia, which can effectively evaluate the severity of the disease.
