Abstract:Objective To calculate the diameter of the intraorbital optic nerve by using HASTE sequence in Cerebral Venous Thrombosis. Methods 20 clinically confirmed CYST patients and 20 sex and age-matched healthy controls were executed HASTE examination. The distance range from 3 mm to 15 mm was measured manually, including the diameter of the optic nerve of arachnoid cavity diameter, the ratio of the two and the square of arachnoid cavity.Independent sample t test was used to compare the several group between CYST patients and healthy controls, and Pearson correlation analysis was used to assess the correlation between BMI value and clinical course. Results There was no significant difference between the optic nerve and the two and the square of arachnoid cavity, except for the ratio of the two parts (P=0.016<0.05).There were no significant correlations between the BMI and clinical course with the diameter of the optic nerve. Conclusion We can use HASTE sequence to measure the diameter of the optic nerve, which can be used in the clinical assessment.
