Application value of MSCTA in diagnosis of cerebral aneurysms

Abstract：Objective To study the application value of MSCTA in diagnosis of cerebral aneurysms. Methods We retrospectively analyzed MSCTA results of 30 patients of cerebral aneurysms with the original thin slice axial images fully applied, combined with the image post processing technologies of MIP, MPR and VR etc. Results Through MSCTA, the locations, sizes, shapes and numbers of cerebral aneurysms, and their relationship with parental artery and the situation of cerebrovascular circulation can be clearly displayed. Conclusion Cerebral aneurysms can be displayed rapidly, accurately, precisely and in multiple levels by means of MSCTA imaging technology. The technology is of great value for the diagnosing, typing, therapies selecting, post operation evaluating and follow-up observing of cerebral aneurysms. Therefore, the MSCTA can serve as a major imaging method of cerebral aneurysm diagnosis.
