The study of diagnostic value of MR 3D FIESTA-C combined with 3D-TOF sequence in angio-compressive facial spasm

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the value of 3D FIESTA-C combined with 3D-TOF sequence in diagnosis of neurovascular compression in angio-compressive facial spasm.Methods The images of 3D FIESTA-C and 3D-TOF sequence were analyzed in 32 hemifacial spasm patients.And the relationship between facial nerve and adjacent vessels were judged and compared with clinical symptoms.Results 26 sides showed vascular compression or contact at 3D FIESTA-C and 3D-TOF images in 32 symptomatic sides.And 7 sides had vascular compression or contact relationship in the 32 healthy sides.There was statistically significant difference between the symptomatic and heathy side (P<0.05).Conclusion 3D FIESTA-C combined with 3D-TOF sequence can clearly show the relationship between the facial nerve and surrounding blood vessels, and it is of important value in diagnosing angio-compressive facial spasm to guide clinical treatment.
