Abstract:Objective To evaluate the value of T2 fluid-inversion recovery (FLAIR) and diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) sequences in the diagnosis of minor spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH).Methods MRI with T2FLAIR and DWI sequences was performed in 21 cases with minor spontaneous SAH using the lumbar puncture results.Findings were retrospectively analyzed and compared with that of computed tomography (CT).Results In 21 cases of minor spontaneous SAH, T2FLAIR all showed positive, display rate was 100%, CT only showed 2 positive cases, the display rate was 9.5%.In 16 cases with DWI examined, 10 were shown to be positive, and the display rate was 62.5%.Conclusion T2FLAIR and DWI sequence are more sensitive than CT scan in the detection of minor spontaneous SAH.
