Abstract:Objective To evaluate the value of aortopulmonary collateral flow quantification in patients before stage II Fontan operation with phase contrast imaging .Methods Cardiac magnetic resonance and cardiac catheterization were performed in 20 patients underwent BDG , we analyzed the flow data obtained from cardiac magnetic resonance and the pressures obtained from car -diac catheterization and investigated the correlation between the flow data and pressure .Results The aortopulmanary collateral flow ranged from 0.9~23.1 ml/s, and the average indexed was (1.02 ±0.63) L/min/m2.The aortopulmanary collateral flow was positively correlated with pressure of superior vena cava ( r =0.59).Conclusion Cardiac magnetic resonance can be used to accurately assess the pulmonary artery development and hemodynamics of BDG .Superior vena cava pressure can be evaluated by observing the aortopulmonary collateral flow .
