Values of clinical application of color Doppler ultrasonography in the diagnosis and treatment of iatrogenic femoral arter-y pseudoaneurysm in the elderly

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the values of clinical application of color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of iatrogenic femoral artery pseudoaneurysm (IFAP)in the elderly.Methods A total of 42 patients aged (69.43 ±4.37) years with IFAP were examined by color Doppler ultrasound .All cases were treated by compression simply for blocking blood flow with probe guided by ultrasound , and the failed cases were injected Reptilase into the lumen of pesudoaneurysm .Results Success rate of ultrasound-guided manual compression was 23.8%(10/42), cute rate of ultrasound-guided thrombus injection was 100%(32/32).Conclusion In this study, we found this method was convenient safe and time saving for the therapy on femoral pseudoaneurysms , with reliable clinical effects patients in our study that were tolerable almost without serious complications .It may be widely used in the clinic .
