Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application value of measuring aortic ring diameter by dual -source CT before operating Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation .Methods By means of dual-source CT, we measured the shortest and longest diameters, perimeter and area of aortic ring with , converted them into diameters respectively , and then, compared the differences among diameter values and analyzed whether they had statistical significances .Cases were divided into two groups ( group A and B) based on whether disc ring was calcified or not .Group A had 24 cases of calcified disc rings , group B includes 56 cases with-out disc ring calcification .We measured areas of aortic ring and converted them into the diameters , and then compared the differ-ences between two groups so as to analyze whether it had statistical significances .Results The average diameters converted from the shortest and longest diameters , perimeter and area of aortic ring were (2.63 ±0.11) cm, (2.64 ±0.10) cm and (2.63 ± 0.11 ) cm, and there was no statistical significance among them;there was no statistical difference between the average diameters converted from the areas of aortic ring in groups A and B respectively:(2.62 ±0.09) cm and (2.64 ±0.11) cm.Conclusion The accurate disc ring measurement data can be provided by measuring the shortest and longest diameters , perimeter and area of aortic ring with dual -source CT before operating Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation .Disc ring calcification does not affect the measurement result .
