Abstract:Obj ective To investigate imaging features of multi-slice spiral CT in cervical artery dissection , and to improve the early diagnostic rate .Methods We retrospectively reviewed of 29 cases of multi-slice spiral CT and DSA confirmed cervical ar-tery dissection .Results In the total of 29 patients with CAD , there were 26 patients with internal carotid artery dissection , 3 with vertebral artery dissection , 2 cases involving two vessels or different segments of the same vessel .The characteristic features of CAD were intimal flaps , double-lumen sign, occlusion with a flame-like and mouse tail appearance ,string and pearl sign , and aneurysmatic expansion .Conclusion CTA is an important and high accuracy method for the diagnosis of cervical artery dissec -tion.It can make up for the deficiency of DSA and be the preferred screening method for patients with cervical artery dissection .
