CT diagnosis and differential diagnosis of Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia

Abstract：Objective To analyze the CT characteristic of patients with Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia .Methods 16 pa-tients with Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia in our hospital from January 2014 to April 2016 were retrospectively analyzed .The CT data of patients were collected and analyzed .Results Airspace consolidation was seen in CT of all 16 cases patients , including lung following paragraphs 13 cases (81.3%);ground-glass opacity was seen in CT of 12 patients (75.0%);interlobular septal thickening was seen in CT of 5 patients (31.3%);hyperinflation was seen in CT of 4 patients (25.0%);lung hyperinflation was seen in CT of 4 patients (25.0%);chest small amount of fluid was seen in CT of3 patients (18.8%).There was no nodules/bullae, or grid movies in CT of patients .Conclusion The CT characteristic of patients with Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia has variety features.So, the clinical diagnosis should be carefully analyzed based on the CT and clinical detect .
