Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical value of low-dose CT, low density scanning technology in patients with acute pulmonary embolism. Methods Patients with pulmonary embolism, who were diagnosed in our hospital from January 2014 to Au-gust 2015, were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group. All patients underwent CT pulmonary angiography ( CTPA) examination, in which patients in the control group underwent the conventional scanning, u-sing 120 kV+350 mgI/ml iohexol and patients in the observation group underwent low-dose scanning, using 100 kV+270 mgI Visipaque, both of which were adopted spectroscopy mode ( GSI) .The pulmonary CT values, signal to noise ratio ( SNR) , image background noise and contrast to noise ratio (CNR), dose length product (DLP), CT dose index (CTDIvol), and the effective radiation dose ( ED) in two groups were statistically analyzed and , and the image quality scores in two groups were evaluated. Results In comparison to CTDIvol between two groups, the P value was <0.05;but, In comparisonto the rest of parameters.i. e., the image quality and radiation dose, the P value was >0.05.As for comparison of the image quality scores between the two groups, P value was >0.05.Conclusion Application of CT low-dose, low-density scanning technology in diagnosis of acute pulmonary embolism can get better image quality without increasing radiation dose, which is worthy of promotion.
