Abstract:Objective To investigate the application value of ABCD2 score combined diffusion tensor imaging ( DTI ) and magnetization transfer imaging ( MTI) in transient ischemic attack ( TIA) .Methods The imaging data of 38 TIA patients and 38 healthy volunteers were analyzed.Mean diffusivity (MD, ×10-3 mm2/s), fractional anisotropy (FA), eigen1(E1, ×10-3 mm2/s), eigen2-eigen3 (E2-E3, ×10-3 mm2/s) and magnetization transfer ratio (MTR,%) were measured based on region of interest (ROI), and calculate the relative value. The diagnostic efficiency of each parameter were also analyzed. Results 1) The aver-age value of FA, E1, E2-E3 and MTR were lower in affected side 〔(0.27 ±0.20), (0.87 ±0.38) ×10-3 mm2/s, (0.10 ± 0.04) ×10-3 mm2/s, (15.49 ±8.82)%〕, compared those of healthy side 〔(0.38 ±0.20), (1.29 ±0.48) ×10-3 mm2/s, (0.21 ±0.10) ×10-3 mm2/s, (21.12 ±5.30)%〕 in DWI positive patients ( P <0.05);2) The MTR of TIA patients was lower compared to healthy volunteers ( P <0.05), as well as the bilateral in DWI negative patients. The average value of rMD, rE1, rE2-E3 were lower ( P <0.05) in DWI positive compared to the negative patients. The rMD, rE1, rE2-E3, rMTR of TIA pa-tients was lower compared to the healthy volunteers ( P <0.05);3) The ROC curve showed the Area Under The Curve(AUC)of rE2-E3 was 0.865.Conclusion ABCD2 score combined rE2-E3 and MTR can detect early corresponding pathological changes in brain tissue in TIA patients, and which provides objective imaging evidence to diagnose TIA .
