Abstract:Objective To study the 3-dimension anatomy of bronchial arteries using 64-slice CT angiography, which can pro-vide valuable references for the interventional therapy via bronchial artery ( BA) .Methods The raw data of 63 patients and 31 normals with bronchial arteries displayed on CTA underwent post-processing including multiplanar reformation ( MPR) , maximum intensity projection ( MP) and volume ( VR) .The number of sub-branch, the pathway as well as the diameter of the bronchial ar-tery were studied and measured.Statistical analysis was conducted. Results Of the 63 patents, ratio of BA ( type excellent and good) was 92%and in normal group ration was 96%.There was difference in branches between patients and normal group.Sig-nificant statistical difference was not existed in diameter of two group ( P >0.05).Variability of ratio was 15.6%in patients and 15.7%in normal group. No difference existed between two groups. The most common variability type was common trunk with in-ter-costal artery. Conclusion Anatomic characteristics of the bronchial artery could be clearly displayed by 64-slice CTA, which provide valuable references for the interventional therapy via bronchial arteries.
