Abstract:Objective To explore the value of 3.0 T MRI in the quantitative evaluation of right heart morphology and function of patients with early pulmonary hypertension. Methods 60 patients with early pulmonary hypertension during a period from De-cember 2014 to December 2015 were selected as a study group and, meanwhile, 30 individuals, whose pulmonary artery systolic pressure ( PASP) was <36 mmHg under resting state or who were healthy, were selected as a control group in this work.3.0 T MRI was employed to test the right and left heart function, left ventricular mass and ventricular mass index (VMI) of the subjects in the two groups. Results The right ventricular EDV, MM and ESV of patients in the study group was significantly higher than those in the control group, while, the right ventricle SV and EF were significantly lower than those in the control group, with sta-tistically significant difference ( P <0.05); The left ventricular SV, EDV and EF, PER, PFR of patients in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group and the difference was significant ( P <0.05).MM and left ventricular ESV in the two groups were not statistically significant different ( P >0.05).VMI in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group ( P <0.05).Conclusion Application of 3.0 T MRI can effectively evaluate the ventricular function of patients with early pulmonary hypertension, thereby providing the reference for the diagnosis and treatment in clinic.
