The CT character analysis of rare huge jaw tumor

Abstract：Objective To investigate the CT features and clinical symptoms of rare huge jaw tumor so as to improve the accu-racy of diagnosis.Methods CT features of 8 cases of maxillofacial giant tumor were retrospectively analyzed, which underwent 64-slice spiral CT pre-contrast and enhanced scanning and were provn by surgery and pathology with 4 cases of adamantinoma, 2 cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma, 1 case of clear cell carcinoma and 1 case of ossifying fibroma.Results As for the adamantin-oma with deformity and expansion edge, the maximum extent was 28 cm ×25 cm ×18 cm, uneven density, thick osseous separa-tion, and with multiple sample room with compression of the surrounding structure.For the adenoid cystic carcinoma with bone destruction and obscure margion, the extent was 13.71 cm ×8.35 cm with formation of soft tissue mass, and uneven density.For clear cell carcinoma with bone destruction and, obscure margion, the extent was 25 cm ×22 cm ×16 cm, and skull base was de-struction, uneven density, with scattered irregular osseous density after contrast uneven administration.1 case was ossifying fibro-ma with deformity and expansion edge wide scope after contrast even administration.The maximum extent was 15 cm ×9 cm ×7 cm.The minimum extent exceeded 5 cm.Conclusion The CT features of different lesions were different and detailed observation of the characteristics of the mass was helpful to make a definitive diagnosis.
