Abstract:Objective This paper compares Doppler Energy which displays "flow void area"method and carotid intima-media thickness method for the value from early diagnosis of atherosclerosis .Methods It retrospectively analyzes 161 cases of examina-tion subjects in Hebei Jizhong Energy Fengfeng Group Co ., Ultrasound , General Hospital carotid artery ultrasound from June 2014 to October 2014 .In addition , it uses Carotid Doppler Energy to observe carotid arteries diastolic whether it appears within "flow void area".And it regards carotid medial-intimal measurement ( using IMT measurement to analyze software measurement ) as the gold standard , and then it carries out Kappa consistency test .Results The results of two diagnostic methods consistency is good (Kappa value 0.797, P <0.01, McNemar test P >0.05), both diagnostic inconsistencies may be related to recent atherosclero-sis in a steady period or progression .Conclusion Doppler Energy displays thatthe results of "flow void area"method and carotid intima-media thickness diagnosis are consistent .About the part of the diagnosis inconsistent results , it should analyze comprehen-sively, and improves diagnostic accuracy .What’s more, two examination results are complementary .
