Abstract:Objective To study the value of the application of MRI in assessing the risk of Alzheimer's disease in individuals with encephalatrophy and normal learning ( NL) ability.Meth ods 82 NL individuals treated in the Department of Neurology from December 2011 to December, 2013,was studied by control study method , and all the individuals accepted vertical brain MRI examination, among whom 42 individuals with encephalatrophy and normal learning (NL) ability were treated as the study group, 40 individuals with normal learning ability were treated as the control group , and the MRI results of the 2 groups were ana-lyzed and compared .Resu lts The occurrence rate of Alzheimer's disease in the encephalatrophy NL group was 23.8%, while, the occurrence rate in the NL group was only 5.0%, comparing the occurrence rate , χ2=144.8 ( P <0.05), indicating that there’ s significant difference .The occurrence rate of orbitofrontal cortex in the right hemisphere , entorhinal cortex and posterior cingulate cortex in the left hemisphere and the linear trend of PCC was lower than that in the left hemisphere , all the P values were less than 0.05, indicating that the difference between 2 groups was the most significant .Conclusion The risk of Alzheimer's dis-ease in the encephalatrophy NL group is higher than that in the NL group , and the risk in the right hemisphere is lower than that in the left hemisphere, especially, for OFC, EC and PCC.
