Abstract:Objective Using speckle tracking imaging (STI) in assessment of left ventricular systolic function in patients with coronary heart disease before and after PCI .Methods STI was performed in 60 patienrs with coronary heart disease ( CAD group) before intracoronary stent implantation (meanwhile, 40 healthy subjects were enrolled as control group ), as well as 3 days, 2 months and 6 months after operation.Peak systolic longitudinal strain (LS), longitudinal strain rate (LSr), radial strain (RS), radial strain rate (RSr), circumferential strain(CS), circumferential strain rate (CSr) of segments of left ventricular were measured .Then, the changes of strain and strain rate of cured segments before and after operaion were analyzed .Results Before operation and 3 days after operation , strain and strain rate of cured segments in CAD group were lower than those in control group (all P <0.05).Two months and 6 months after operation, the strain and strain rate increased obviously compared with preopera-tion and 3 days after operation, while, there was no different between 2 months and 6 months after operation (all P >0.05). Conclusion STI can beused to assess left ventricle systolic function in patients with coronary heart disease before and after PCI , and has of important value for the treatment and prognosis of CAD patients .
