Abstract:Objective To determine the associated factors to symptomatic non-high risk pulmonary embolism in patients with lower extremity deep venous thrombosis .Methods Clinical data in a total of 85 non-high risk PE patients caused by DVT were retrospectively analyzed .Taking occurrence of symptom or not as a dependent , and the computerized tomographic obstruction in-dex (CTOI),right-to-left ventricular diameter ratio (RV/LV), risk stratification of PE, the type of DVT, laterality of leg, age and sex as independents , multivariate binary logistic regression analysis was used to estimate the risk factors of occurrence of symptom in non-high risk PE patients .Results Logistic regression analysis showed that laterality of leg , sex and risk stratifica-tion of PE were influential factors of occurrence of symptom in non-high risk PE patients ( P =0.040, 0.017, 0.011;95%CI:1.236~8.178, 0.076~0.777, 1.626~39.898).Conclusion For non-high risk PE,the right leg DVT, female and severity of PE are risk factors to symptomatic PE .CTOI and RV/LV are not correlated with symptomatic PE .
