Abstract:Objective To evaluate the MR findings of solitary cerebella metastase so as to improve the accuracy of MR diagnosis and differential diagnosis .Methods The conventional and enhanced MR imaging of solitary cerebella metastases in 20 patients were analyzed retrospectively ,and the objects were confirmed by surgery and pathology .We analyzed the solitary cerebella metastases location , size , shape , degree of peritumoral edema and strengthened characteristics of tumors .Results 20 cases of solitary cerebella metastases occurred in the right cerebella hemisphere in 11 cases (55% ) , the left cerebella hemisphere in 9 cases (45% ) .The maximal diameter of tumor were﹤2 .0 cm in 5 cases ,2 .0~3 .0 cm in 8 cases and﹥3.0 cm in 7 cases ,Peritumoral edema showed mild‐to‐moderate edema in 16 cases (80% ) .The lesions were solid masses in 13 cases (65% ) ,cystic masses in 4 cases (20% ) ,cyst‐solid in 3 cases (15% ) .5 cases of solid mas‐ses were found the boundary sign .Solid masses showed nodule enhancement ,flower rim enhancement .The capsule wall of cystic tumors was evenly enhancement or heterogeneous enhancement ,partially visible enhancement wall nodule .3 ca‐ses of colorectal cancer metastases were shown lower signal on the T2WI .Conclusion MR findings of solitary cerebella metastases vory but has a certain characteristics .In combination with clinical history ,observing the tumor's location , shape ,signal ,Peritumoral edema and enhancement plays an important value in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis .
