Abstract:Objective To explore the characteristics of gastric cancer's computed tomography (CT ) perfusion and specific values of perfusion parameter ,and to evaluate the potential of clinical application of CT perfusion imaging in diagnosis of gastric cancer .Methods Fifty patients with pathologically confirmed gastric cancer and 20 subjects without gastric disea‐ses (control group) were recruited and all the subjects received the examination of their stomachs by using 64‐slice spiral CT perfusion imaging . The obtained volume data were used for calculation ,mapping and analysis by using abdominal tumor perfusion protocol (deconvolution method) of CT perfusion software package ,so as to measure four parameter val‐ues ,i .e .,blood flow (BF) ,blood volume (BV) ,mean transit time (M TT ) and permeability surface (PS) ,respectively . Results The mean perfusion values of normal stomach were as follows :BF (75 .07 ± 17 .08) ml/100g/min ,BV (7 .95 ± 1 .81) ml/100g ,M TT (16 .67 ± 2 .40) s and PS (7 .98 ± 1 .30) ml/100g/min ,respectively ;the mean perfusion values of stomachs with gastric cancer were as follows :BF (101 .28 ± 48 .01) ml/100g /min ,BV (16 .09 ± 6 .23) ml/100g ,M TT (9 .57 ± 4 .99) s andPS (33 .00 ± 23 .27) ml/100g/min .Compared with control group ,BF ,BV and PS values in gastric cancer group increased and M TT value in gastric cancer group decreased ,and the differences in 4 perfusion parameter val‐ues were all statistically significant ( P < 0 .01) .Conclusion Stomach CT perfusion imaging is a functional imaging tech‐nology and has a potential in the application of clinical diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer from perspective of hemo‐dynamics .
