The MSCT findings of solitary fibrous tumor in pleural cavity and abdominal cavity

Abstract：Objective To analyze the CT findings of solitary fibrous tumor retrospectively in order to improve the diag‐nostic level of the disease .Methods Totally ,9 patients with SFT confirmed by surgical pathology underwent CT plain and contrast enhancement scanning before operation .CT findings were analyzed and compared with the pathological char‐acters .Results Of 9 cases ,6 cases were located in pleural cavity and 3 in abdominal and pelvic cavity .The size of all ca‐ses were more than 5 cm ,and the size of 2 cases located in the plreual were over 10 cm .The punctate calification was seen in 2 cases .4 cases showed homogeneous density on CT scan and all cases showed heterogeneous enhancement ,which was more distinct in venous phase and showed map‐liked enhancement .More arterys were seen in 3 ccases in arterial phase . Conclusion CT findings of SFT show some definite characteristics ,which contribute to make correct diagnosis .
