Abstract:Objective To investigate the 18 F‐FDG coincidence SPECT /CT imaging findings of unicentric Castleman's dis‐ease .Methods We retrospectively reviewed the imagine findings of 3 patients with histopathologically proved chest uni‐centric Castleman's disease .All the 3 patients were taken unenhanced CT scan ,enhanced CT scan ,and 18 F‐FDG coinci‐dence SPECT /CT .Results The tumors were located at anterior mediastinum (n = 1) ,right middle mediastinum (n = 1) , or left hilum (n = 1) .The shape was oval (n = 1)or lobulated (n = 2) ,ranging 4 .4 ~ 5 .9 cm in diameter .Punctate calcifi‐cation within the tumor was seen in 2 patient .2 tumors showed obvious homogeneous enhancement after the administration of contrast medium ,while 1 tumor showed inhomogeneous enhancement .Unilateral pleural effusion was seen in 1 patient . All 3 tumors showed increased uptake of 18 F‐FDG .One tumor was visual grade as 2 ,3 eack and 4 .T /Nmax value ranged from 4 .5 to 7 .2 .Conclusion Unicentric Castleman's disease showed obvious enhancement on CT and various degrees of increaseed uptake of 18 F‐FDG ,which should be differentiated from malignant tumors .
