CT manifestation of lung injury after near drowning (analysis of 17 cases)

Abstract:Objective To investigate CT feature of lung injury after near‐drowning in adult and to provide the basis for the condition change of the disease .Methods The series of imaging data in 17 adult cases after near‐drowng treated in our hospital were analyzed restrospectively using standard pulmonary window and mediastinal window .Results Lesions form :a large patch of consolidation with air bronchogram was foaud in 2 cases (11 .76% ) ,patchy consolidation in 4 cases (23.53% ) ,ground‐glass opacity in 14 cases (14/17) ,ill‐defined centrilobular nodules in 5 cases (5/17) ,local emphyse‐ma in 5 cases (5/17) ;The lesions located at two pulmonary each leaf in 13 cases ,two pulmonary diffuse distribution in 8 cases ,butterfly wing distributed in 5 cases ;3 cases distributed in both lungs lower lobe ;1 case distributed in right lung middle lobe and left lung lower lobe ;After treatment for 3 ~ 7 days ,the lesions were different degree of absorption .Con‐clusion Chest CT can not only objectively evaluate lung injury after near‐drowning ,but also ,help to guide and assess the clinical efficancy .
