Abstract:Objective To explore the appearances of CT and MRI of primary cranial malignant lymphoma (PCML ) . Methods 9 patients with PCML proved by histopathology or testing therapy were included in this study .5 cases were ex‐amined by pre and post‐contrast MRI ,1 case with contrast MRI only .1 case was evaluated with non‐contrast CT ,and 7 cases with non‐contrast and contrast CT .Their imaging finding were retrospectively reviewed .Results The lesions were solitary in 6 patients and multiple in 3 patients .The total 9 patients showed 14 lesions in all .11 lesions were located at deep cerebral parenchyma beside the midline and 3 at the brain surface .7 cases were nodular or massive .There were heavy peritumoral edema and relative distinct occupying effect in most lesions .Every lesion showed slightly high density on non‐contrast CT and 6 patients showed intense homogeneous enhancement with contrast CT .On MR ,the lesions exhibited iso‐or slight hypo‐signal intensity on T1 WI and hypointensity to slight hyperintensity on T2 WI .After enhancement ,the le‐sions were demonstrated the intense ho‐mogeneous intensification .Conclusion To some extent ,the imaging manifesta‐tions of the primary cranial malignant lymphoma have its characteristics ,which can provide important information for ther‐apeutic planning .
