Abstract:Objective To evaluate diagnostic value of magnetic resonance angiography and 3D‐VIBE in trigeminal neural‐gia .Methods 136 cases of primary trigeminal neuralgia underwent MRTA examination and surgery .The patients with negative MRTA were taken 3D‐VIBE examination and compared the results of surgery .Results ① 121 patients showed positive MRTA in 136 patients ,which were responsible for 110 cases of confirmed vascular compression .11 patients were found no liability vascular surgery ; ② 15 cases of patients with negative MRTA underwent 3D‐VIBE examination ,11 pa‐tients showed to be positive .9 patients confirmed by surgery were responsible for vascular compression ,including 1 case of simple artery ,7 cases of simple vein ,1 case of composite oppression ; ③ In 136 cases of primary trigeminal neuralgia patients ,119 cases were confirmed by surgery vascular compression ,including 98 cases of simple artery (82 .4% ) ,10 (8.4% ) cases of simple vein ,11 (9 .2% ) cases of composite oppression .Conclusion MRTA can show circumstances sur‐rounding vascular compression of the trigeminal nerve ,and 3D‐VIBE examination of the patient tested negative for MRTA effective complement vein compression of the trigeminal nerve can show anatomical details .
