CT manifestations of gastric schwannoma

Abstract：Objective To study the imaging characteristics of gastric schwannoma so as to improve the accuracy of CT in the diagnosis of gastric schwannoma .Methods We retrospectively analyzed 6 patients with gastric schwannoma from first hospital of Jiaxing ,who were all confirmed by surgery pathology .6 patients were performed the plain and enhancement CT scan .The lesion size ,density ,and location were analyzed and the imaging findings were summarized in this work .Re‐sults Of those 6 cases of gastric schwannoma ,1 case was located in gastric cardia ,2 cases in the distal ,and 3 cases in gastric body .CT manifestations were that the soft tissue shadow of gastric wall was thickening and protruding inside and outside cavity .The plain CT scan showed low density .The dynamic enhancement scan did not show obvious enhancement at the arterial phase ,but ,showed light reinforcement at the venous phase ,and obviously uniform reinforcement at the de‐lay phase .Conclusion Gastric schwannoma on CT has a certain characteristic ,which is helpful for the localization and qualitative diagnosis of this disorder .
