Analysis of the results of spiral CT pulmonary angiography on patients with acute pulmonary thromboembolism

Abstract:Objective To investigate the characteristics of spiral CT pulmonary angiography (CTPA) on patients with a‐cute pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) .Methods The data of CTPA imaging on patients with acute PTE were collect‐ed and the relevant literatures were reviewed .Results There were 65 cases in this group ,including 37 males ,28 females , aged 26 to 63 years old .CTPA found direct or indirect signs in 50 cases ,and the direct signs showed pulmonary artery fill‐ing defect ,while the indirect signs showed right ventricular and systemic circulation ,pulmonary circulation secondary change .Conclusion Acute PTE examined by CTPA can be expressed as the direct or indirect signs ,radiology physicians should master its characteristics ,in order to make early diagnosis and treatment ,and to reduce clinical misdiagnosis rate and death rate .
