64-slice spiral CT diagnosis of nodular goiter

Abstract：Objective To explore the value of multi‐slice spiral CT in diagnosis of nodular goiter .Methods Clinical data of the patients with nodular goiter of 39 cases confirmed by surgery pathology were retrospectively analyzed and compared pathologic results with CT manifestations .Results CT showed isolated nodule type in 21 cases and the diagnosis accord‐ance rate of CT was 85 .7% (18/21) ,CT showed multiple nodular type in 13 cases and the diagnosis accordance rate of CT was 76 .9% (10/13) ,CT showed diffuse nodule type in 5 cases and the diagnosis accordance rate of CT was 60% (3/5) . Conclusion Multi‐slice spiral CT is helpful to the diagnosis and classification of nodular goiter .
