Abstract:Objective To study the relationship of MRI features and pathologic types of children’s ependymoma in hemi‐sphere brain .Methods MRI manifestation of 15 cases of children’s ependymoma in hemisphere brain confirmed by sur‐gery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed .All patients underwent plain and dynamic contrastenhanced MR scan . And the relationship between MRI manifestations and pathologic types were analyzed .Results For eight cases ,MRI showed uniform long T1 ,long T2 signal for cystic mass ,in which pathological type was class II ependymoma .MRI of four solid tumors cases showed a small uniform long or short T1 ,long or short T2 signal ,in which pathological type was class II ependymoma .MRI of three cases of cystic tumors showed a little longer ,long T1 signal ,uneven long and short T2 sig‐nal ,in which pathological type was III ependymoma .Enhanced MRI scan showed that fifth cases of cancer were strength‐ened ,including six cases of homogeneous enhancement ,nine cases of inhomogeneous solid strengthened ,including seven cases showed typical ring enhancement .Conclusion MRI of children’s ependymoma in hemisphere brain manifests mainly as cystic or solid .MRI of children’s ependymoma has characteristic features and is consistent with the pathologic type .
