The value of MSCT diagnosis of primarymediastinal tumor

Abstract：Objective To investigate the CT imaging features and differential diagnosis of anterior mediostinum tumors , so that to improve the correct diagnostic rate .Methods The clinical manifestation and CT image characteristics of 39 ca‐ses of anterior mediastinum tumors confirmed by surgery and pathology ,were retrospectively analyzed .Results In all 39 cases of anterior mediastinum tumors ,there were thymoma in 14 cases (2 cases of invasive thymoma ,12 cases of noninva‐sive thymoma) ,thymic cyst in 4 cases ,thymic carcinoma in 6 cases (2 cases of small cell carcinoma ,3 cases of squamous cell carcinoma ,1 case of carcinoid tumor ) ,teratoma in 6 cases ,germ cell tumor in 5 cases ,lymphoma in 4 cases .Conclu‐sion CT examination for anterior mediastinum tumor types and benign or malignant judgment has a high accuracy ,it can also display the location and extent of the tumor .The imaging features have important values for making the treatment plan and evaluating the prognosis .
