Abstract:Objective To study the imaging characters of parotid adenolymphoma in dual‐phase enhancement CT scan and to improve the diagnostic accuracy .Methods We retrospectively analysed the CT findings of 17 cases parotid ade‐nolymphoma ,which were confirmed by operation and histopathology .The imaging characteristics were observed including the position ,number ,shape ,size ,density ,bound and the pattern of enhancement of the focus .Results In all of the 17 cases ,12 cases were solitary lesions and 5 cases were multiple lesions ,in which 3 cases were bilateral lesions .Of total of 22 lesions ,16(72 .7% ) lesions were located in the posterior and inferior quadrant .CT findings were round ,oval or lobu‐lated ,well‐defined soft tissue mass ,with homogeneous (15/22) or inhomogeneous attenuation ,7(31 .8% ) lesions were cystic change .After dual‐phase contrast administration ,the solid component of lesions increased approximately 30 ~ 68 HU in the early phase ,of which 12(54 .5% ) lesions were shown vessels penetrating through and (or) surrounding the mass .Late phase ,the CT value of 15(68 .2% ) lesions decreased about 10 ~ 35 HU ,mostly "quickly forward and quickly quit" enhancement performance ,cystic areas without enhancement .Conclusion Adenolymphoma of parotid has some characteristics in dual‐phase enhancement CT imaging .CT findings combinated with the characters of age ,gender ,loca‐tion etc can improve the diagnostic accuracy .
