Abstract:Objective To study the MRI manifestations of tuberous sclerosis (TS) in infants so as to make an early diag‐nosis for this disorder .Methods We retrospectively analyzed of 12 patients with TS confirmed by clinic and genetic test and analyzed the characteristic changes in cerebral MRI .Results A total of 84 nodules in these 12 cases were found .In this work ,5 cases were located in subcortex ,with a total of 28 nodules ,and 10 cases were found abnormal signals in white matter ,with a total of 31 nodules .Conclusion MRI is sensitive to the change in central nervous system ,especially for infants and young children before no calcification formation .MRI has a unique signal and form distribution ,which is different from these of adults ,especially that T 1 WI sequence is particularly sensitive for showing lesions ,thereby impro‐ving the accuracy of early diagnosis .
