Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic value of targeted spiral CT scanning and post processing reconstruction techniques in solitary pulmonary nodules .Methods By use of the targeted GE light speed 16 spiral CT scanning and post processing reconstruction techniques ,we processed 128 patients with solitary pulmonary nodules in terms of reconstruction with multi pianar reconstruction ,volume rendering ,maximum intensity projection ,surface projection display ,and mini-mum intensity projection .Through a window with different width and window level ,we observed the nodular morpholo-gy ,density internal structure ,edge feature ,peripheral vascular bundle ,and pleural involvement so as to differentiate the benigh from malignant nodules .Results In a series of subjects in this work ,there were 110 cases of peripheral lung canc-er ,4 cases of atypical adenomatous hyperplasia ,6 cases of inflammatory granuloma ,2 case of cryptococcus infeetion ,1 case of tuberculoma ,4 cases of spherical pneumonia ,and 1 case of wrong hook tumor .Conclusion Targeted spiral CT scanning and post processing reconstruction techniques can display more reliable CT signs for the internal structure or the edge feature of solitary pulmonary nodules ,which has an important value for differential diagnosis of benign and malignant nodules .
