Abstract:Objective To explore the value of CT angiography (CTA) and MRI in the cervical spinal hemangioblastoma . Methods We retrospectively analyzed the pre-operative CTA and MRI findings of 6 patients (3 males ,3 females ,age range ,11~55 years old ,mean age ,27 years old) with cervical spinal hemangioblastoma ,which were pathologically diag-nosed .The radiological analysis was focused on the secondary spinal cord changes ,flow-void signs ,and tumoral vessels and compared with operational findings .Results On CTA ,all of the solid parts of tumors showed as vivid enhancement and connected with feeding arteries .On MRI ,edematous spinal cord and dilated spinal canal were demonstrated due to the presence of tumor itself .Flow-void signs were also revealed .During operation ,macroscopically ,the feeding arteries and draining veins of the tumors were found .Conclusion CTA and MRI can reveal different signs of spinal cord hemangio-blastomas .The combined usage of the two methods is helpful for the disease .
