Abstract:Objective To analyze multipie-slice spiral CT and MRI imaging features of cervical cystic lesion .Methods We retrospectivly reviewed the images finding of totally 41 cases of cervical cystic lesions with pathology confirmed .Re-sults Most of the cases were well-defined and normal-shaped .Twenty of them were theroglossal duct cyst located along or drift to the midline of the neck at the level of hyoid bone ,which were near the thyroid gland .In the MRI ,the lession was shown homogeneouse hypointence on T1-weighted image and hyperintence T2-weighted image ,and enhanced MRI showed slight enhanced sign of cystic wall ,eleven of them were second branchial cysts anterior sternocleidomastoid mus-cle ,which showed homogeneouse hypointence on T1-weighted image and hyperintence T2-weighted image ,on CT image was a hypotense mass similar to that of water ,of which the cystic wall was enhanced .Two cases were epidermoid cyst lo-cated in the level of hyoid bone at posterior neck ,on CT image ,the mass was shown homogeneouse density without en-hancement .Four cases of epiglottic cysts protruded at the preepiglottic space ,which appeared homogeneously hypointence on T1-weighted image and hyperintence on T2-weighted image ,and occured as homogeneouse low density mass with thin wall on non-enhanced CT .Four of them were lymphangioma at posterior trigone of neck ,the lession was shown separa-tionisointensity on T1-weightd image and hyperintence T2-weighted image ,with separation and multiple cyst in different size ,on contrast MRI they shown were separation enhancement .Conclusion According to the location and typical ima-ging appearance ,multipie-slice spiral CT and MRI can do the correct diagnosis in the cervical cystic lesion .
