Abstract:Objective To explore the value of tissue Doppler imaging (DTI) in left ventricular function test and differ-ence evaluation in patients with coronary hear disease .Methods We selected 40 patients with left ventricular hypertrophy due to essential hypertension (group A) ,35 patients due to exercise-induced left ventricular hypertrophy (group B) ,and 40 healthy individuals (group C) for this study .The standard apex bit left ventricular long axis and apical four-chamber view were obtained and the M-mode and TDI technology were employed to observe the changes of left ventricular structure and function in three groups .Results The interventricular septum ,left ventricular wall thickness ,left ventricular end-di-astolic diameter ,and left ventricular mass index in group A and group B were higher than those in group C .The pulsed Doppler measurements showed that ,compared with those in group C ,A peak increased and E/A value decreased in group A ,with a significant difference ( P<0 .01) ,and A peak declined and the E/A ratio increased in Group B ,with significant differences .The DTI measurement showed that ,compared with those in group B and group C ,the early diastolic (Ve) , systolic (Va) myocardial velocities and Ve/Va values in group A were significantly changed ( P <0 .01) .Conclusion DTI is able to test the left ventricular function in patients with hypertension-and exercise-induced remodeling and to distin-guish the differences between the two situations .
