Imaging diagnosis of cisterna magna with growth abnormity
Abstract:Objective:To improve diagnosis value of growth abnormity cisterna magna using CT and MRI. Methods: 40 cases (male 22, female 18, age range 19~62, average 41 ) were studied with CT and MR imaging. in those, all patients were examined by plain CT scan,5 by contrast enhancement,35 by CT cisternography scan,25 by MRI at call back. Results:They can be divided into two types according to the configuration, range and image, i. e. symmetric type and nonsymmetric type. Conclusion: It is not difficult to make a diagnosis of this defect, but this defect should be differential from some showing low density diseases under the tentorium, the CT cisternography may help to make sure diagnosis.
