CT manifestation of diffuse axonal iajury(analysis of 68 cases)
Abstract：Objective:To provide reliable evidence for clinical diagnosis of diffuse axonal injury(DAI)based on study the CT signs in DAI. Methods:CT signs of 68 cases of DAI confirmed clinically were reviewed. The patients including 16 female and 52male, 6～72 years old. 51 patients were treated in medical way, and 17 operated craniotomy, 37 patients(54.4 96 )died, 21 patients (30.9%)have become poor outcome. All the patients were examined with plain CT scan in range from 30 minutes to 24 hours after injury. Results:CT scans of 68 cases with DAI of early phase showed one or more small hemorrhagic lesions at white matter 49 cases(including cerebral hemisphare 37 cases,based node 4,copus collosum 6,brain stem 2),SAH 17,interventricular hemorrhage 5, and brain swelling 58 cases. Conclusion: CT scan is a useful techniques for early diagnosis of DAI, and can provide useful information about the patients prognosis.
