Effect of Shenshuaining Capsule on Patients with Early and Medium Stage Chronic Renal Failure:A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trial
Abstract：Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Shenshuaining capsule(SSN)in early and medium stage chro﹣nic renal failure(CRF)in order to provide reference for clinical application and research.Methods China Academic Journal Network Publishing Database,China Biomedical Literature Database,Wanfang,Weipu,PudMed,Cochrane Li﹣brary,Medline and Embase were retrieved from database building to Jan.1,2018.Relevant clinical studies were col﹣lected comprehensively,and literature was screened by inclusion or exclusion criteria.Relevant data and information were also collected.Review Manager 5.3 software was used for Meta-analysis.Descriptive analysis was used for liter﹣ature unapplicable for Meta-analysis.Results A total of 549 literatures were retrieved,and 8 studies were included in this study with a total of 635 patients.There were 338 patients in treatment group(SSN group)and 297 in control group.Clinical efficiency,blood urea nitrogen(BUN)and serum creatinine(Scr)in SSN group were superior to those in the control group with no serious adverse events or adverse reactions.Conclusion SSN has a certain efficacy and safety in the treatment of early and medium stage chronic renal failure.However,due to the uneven quality of the in﹣cluded studies,it is insufficient to provide high quality evidence to confirm its clinical efficacy of the drug.Therefore, it is necessary to carry out large multicenter randomized controlled trials in the future.
