Application of 10 mg Mifepristone in the Treatment of Uterine Fibroids

Abstract：Objective To investigate effects of different doses of mifepristone in the treatment of uterine fi-broids.Methods 150 patients with uterine fibroids treated in our hospital from Feb.2015 to Aug.2016 were select-ed.Patients were divided into 10 mg group(80 cases)and 25 mg group(70 cases)according to the dosage of mifepris-tone.Hormone indexes,improvement of uterus and uterine fibroids,menstrual changes and adverse reactions were com-pared between the groups after 3 months’treatment.Results ①There were no significant differences on menstrual changes,volume of uterus and uterine fibroids between the two groups before treatment(P ＞0.05).There were signif-icant differences on menstrual changes,volume of uterus and uterine fibroids between the two groups after one month’ s and three months’treatment than those before treatment(P ＜0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups at corresponding time nodes(P ＞0.05).②There were no significant differences on T,PRL,LH,FSH, E2 and P between the two groups before treatment(P ＞0.05).There were no significant differences on T and PRL between the two groups after one month’s and three months’treatment than those before treatment(P ＞0.05).LH, FSH,E2 and P decreased after one month’s and three months’treatment than those before treatment(P ＜0.05). There were no significant differences between the two groups at corresponding time nodes(P ＞0.05).③The rate of adverse reactions in 10 mg group(31.25%)was significantly lower than that in 25 mg group(51.43%)within medica-tion for 3 months(P ＜0.05).Conclusion 10 mg oral mifepristone per day for the treatment of uterine fibroids can significantly improve serum hormone levels,reduce the volume of uterus and uterine fibroids,which has less adverse reaction than 25 mg oral mifepristone and the menstruation is regular and stable.
